Dear Eugene,
I also miss you. Leaving De La Salle Lipa and the many good people who are there was not easy for me, but I think going back home was the right thing for me to do. If I would have had my "Lipa experience" a few years ago, I probably would have stayed on for another year. As it is, I have many, many fond memories, and lots of those memories include you and the other aspirants. Times like the Masses, visiting the Vocation Office, gathering at the Brothers' residence (especially on my last evening in Lipa), and just meeting on campus by chance and chatting for a couple minutes.
You are a good man, Eugene! I've probably told you that before, because it's true. You have a bright future in your life, whether it will be as a Brother (yea!) or in some other way of life where the good Lord may lead you. Wherever your life choices will take you, Eugene, be assured that you have my support for your happiness. I am proud of you!.
I hope we can stay in touch from time to time, to keep each other up-to-date with what's happening in our lives. Take care of yourself, and be a strong support for the other aspirants and for SIKAT. I'm looking forward to seeing you again, sometime, somewhere!

A Letter to Brother Lolo
Two Things are really difficult to say in life...
HELLO for the first time to unknown person...
GOODBYE for the last time to whom you love.
To my favorite Brother / Lolo,
First of all I want to say thank you, for visiting us here in the Philippines especially staying in De La Salle Lipa Community; it is a pleasure to be with you almost a year. Time passed so quickly and I know this time will come, that you’ll be leaving and go back to your native land. I will surely miss our time together, the 12:10 masses and also the chat every time I visit you and the brothers in the house for dinner. I’ll also miss your bright smile in your face and your voice while calling or shouting my name in the hallway. I really appreciate your efforts to visit us in the vocation office to check us if we’re okay, to join us in a Taize’ session, to gave us “BLESSINGS” after mass, and also to visit and have a talk in SIKAT. These simple deeds will be forever cherished and treasured in our minds and hearts.
Thank you for always showing your full support to me like attending a film showing that you almost got hungry because of technical difficulties, watching my film even it is in Filipino Version (now I have subtitle on it) and even cheering me up when I find my day stressful and down.
I am happy to be part of your journey here in the Philippines. I will surely miss our bonding moments, our chat every time we meet. Thank you for always listening to my stories, even my English is not really good. I am always challenged to enhance my communication skills so that if we meet again I am confident to share my thoughts and feelings. I will always remember the day that you said that you are very proud of me, that’s why you share my story of trials and winnings to your American friends when they visited you last Vocation Summit.
Brother Carl, I really appreciate each time we shared together, you are one of my idols and even inspiration in pushing through my dream to be a Brother or even a Lasallian Volunteer someday. You touched many lives even smiles from the faces of our SIKAT KIDS. I know this day will come that you’ll be leaving and a part of me will be left behind by our special and happy moments together. I hope you’ll take care of yourself and I promise that I will pursue my dreams because there are people like you, who believe that I can. Thank you very much Brother, I will always dedicate my success to God and also to you. Have a nice trip Brother Carl, keep in touch.\
Till we meet again! I promise I gonna visit you in Philadelphia once I became a Lasalle Brother.
In St. Lasalle,
EUGENE
